Exploring timeless masterpieces by Beethoven, Schubert, Schumann, and Glazunov, the saxophone defies all preconceived notions with its expressive power and astonishing versatility. Invented by Adolphe Sax in 1840, the often-misunderstood instrument was designed to combine the warmth of brass with the virtuosity of wind instruments.
