Soprano Zinaida Campion is founding a new festival in her home town of Winchelsea.
Zinaida is pictured here outside the historic Globe Theatre, one of the concert venues. We asked her for a few words about her plans for the new season — see below…

“The Winchelsea Music Season, under the artistic direction of Zinaida Campion, will be an annual festival consisting of high quality classical concerts spread throughout the year. These paid performances will be mainly held in the premium heritage venues of Barwon Park Mansion and the Globe Theatre, which celebrates its centenary this year.
“A distinctive feature of the festival will be the development of a curated archive of historic music scores and memorabilia owned by past Australian musicians, available for public viewing.
“Winchelsea Music Season aims to promote the arts in a rural area, provide paid opportunities for artists, celebrate local heritage whilst inspiring the next generation of musicians, and bring the community closer together, whilst attracting visitors from further afield.”
