Sutherland Trio is thrilled to present an exhilarating new program of piano trios in collaboration with the exciting young Esplanade Trio. Esplanade Trio were finalists in Musica Viva’s nationwide chamber music competition Strike a Chord and were chosen by Sutherland Trio for their passionate approach to chamber music.

Since winning the Musica Viva Strike a Chord mentorship prize, Esplanade Trio has been mentored by Sutherland to perform works by Beethoven, Auerbach and Mendelssohn as well as a brilliant new work by Georgina Palmer.

Sutherland Trio will also perform the hauntingly beautiful Vasks Plainscapes, the irrepressible Haze for Days by Nat Bartsch and a fascinating new work by Bryn Renard.
