This unique performance of Beethoven’s epic chamber work will bring together seven of the Melbourne’s outstanding musicians featuring members of the MSO, Arcadia Winds, ANAM, Daphnis Trio and more.

Beethoven Septet op.20 is one of the landmark chamber works for strings and wind instruments. Composed long before Beethoven had any inkling of his impending deafness, this work gained immediate and long lasting popularity. So well-received was this piece that the composer would come to resent its popularity, complaining that it overshadowed some of his great masterworks.
