Inventi Ensemble: Dvořák & Kerry

Fri 6 May @ 18:00 - 19:30

Bookings are now open for one of the library’s perennial favourites, Inventi Ensemble, which will perform on Friday 6th May from 6pm.

The ensemble of Melissa Doecke (flute), Ben Opie (oboe), Chris Haycroft (bassoon), Kyla Matsuura-Miller (violin), William Murray (viola) and Steph Stamopoulos (cello) will perform Dvorak’s New World Symphony and Slavonic Dance number 8, both arranged by Glynn Davies, and Gordon Kerry’s Six-Part Interventions.

Inventi is renowned for their arrangements of large-scale orchestral works for chamber ensemble, and library audiences have been entertained previously by their performances of Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade and Saint-Saëns’ Carnival of the Animals.

The event is free for members and guests pay just $10. Bookings are essential, either by calling 9650 3100 or emailing library@melbourneathenaeum.org.au
