ANAM Prizewinners: Cawrse, Britten, Jolivet, Scott & Poulenc

4 May @ 18:00 - 19:00

$30 – $37

Pianist Amanda Pang, oboist Noah Rudd and bassoonist Jye Todorov depict a sense of external guidance, finding comfort in Anne Cawrse’s The Red Buoy. Just as buoys guide the way through water, ANAM has provided a haven for these musicians to develop and find a path of their own.

But what happens when musicians move away from that comfortable territory? Traversing through the open waters of works by Benjamin Britten and André Jolivet, alongside a piece by Jeff Scott written at ‘a time when [he] was thinking about [his] personal growth and the realisation of what [his] life expectations were.’ Their performance concludes with an overarching sense of joy and celebration with Francis Poulenc’s fizzy and life-affirming trio.
