2020 was a catastrophic year for Australia’s live music industry. In an instant, everything that local musicians had worked so hard for, was gone. Financially this was devastating, but the loss of confidence, creativity and shared musical experience was just as tough.
In 2021, recurrent lockdowns are making life even harder as concerts are scheduled and rehearsed, then cancelled or postponed.
MRC has established a special fund to support musicians in these uncertain times.
